Don't get me wrong, I'm not someone who tends to stay comfortably in my lane for too long; perhaps this is why I was so resistant to transitioning into an unfamiliar surname - my old one was probably the most permanent thing about me for a whole forty-four years!

As a Gen Xer, growning up in the 80's, raised by an inspiring single mom and working from fifteen, taught me that I am deeply resourceful.  I adapt, up-skill and pivot as often as needed and this has led to me to being the multi-layered woman I am today.

In the world of food, I'd be a croissant - a pain in the arse to create but the end result is so worth it! It's taken me forever to accept that being multi-skilled is in fact my specialty which gives me an edge and a holistic eagle's eye view of business, life and the projects I'm involved with. I see the big picture and all the working parts and then am able to swoop in on the 'gaps' with precision.

I grew up in South Africa, a vibrant, tumultuous country with a vast buffet of cultures, stories and challenges. My sheer determination and 'grit' were forged in this country, carrying me through many tough moments. I make a plan, I upskill,  I find a way.  

I see possibility everywhere, especially in people and I love nothing more than helping people harness some of their hidden capacity.

De-jargonising complex concepts and giving relevance to information is a method I  love using because I want to empower people with information - not confuse.
